It's spring in our yard. Yours?

Every spring one of my favorite blooming plants in our yard is the Forsythia. The bright yellow stands out so well against the rest of the garden which is still trying to recover from winter. The color is there for just a few weeks before the flowers give way to green leaves that last the rest of the summer and fall. For some reason I seldom look closely at the flowers. When I look at them from a distance they seem like yellow leaves rather than flowers. Up close you can see the flowers in all their glory. They look especially vibrant against a blue sky in the background.
